Marie loved to go for coffee, even in the worst weather.

When Billy Rose was helping raise Crystal (when she was a child 4-5 yrs old) she used to call Marie and ask her if she was "ready" it was code for... time to go to coffee. Billy Rose and Marie used to love going for coffee and would get silly and just laugh.

Marie loved to play bingo and sometimes Billy Rose would Join her. They were close friends.

Marie used to sew a lot, she made many, many braided rugs. The family cherished those rugs.

Marie, lived in Portland shortly after she married Frank, she did not like the wet climate.

Note for:   Louis Aloysius Mack,   8 DEC 1883 - 2 AUG 1960         Index

Individual Note:
According to Louis Mack jr., entered the seminary for a short time. Is it possible that he took the name of Louis at that time, and the middle name of Aloysius?? I cannot find him anywhere in the US Census until he is in South Dakota and married to Susan Oakes. It seems as though his given name at birth was in fact 'Ludwig'; which, is french for 'Louis'. The name Ludwig fell into disfavor in the 1800's due to King Ludwig of Germany and his looting of the treasury, and his 'gay' ness. So in America in the 1800's, the name Ludwig would not have been a well known or popular name, and so I'm sure he changed his name at some point to Louis.
