Burial: Place: Ft. Pierre, Old Cemetary.
Individual Note: On, May 23, 2002, while in route from Minot to Rapid City, I stopped thru Pierre to check on our Comfort Inn. I also decided to attempt to find the Van Meter gravesite. I found it at Cedar Hill cemetary, a small, old, but very well kept cemetary above Ft. Pierre. There I found a simple steel grey flat gravemarker with the 'Van Meter' name, and nothing else. It looked fairly old, and I'm sure it is the marker for both Arther and Mary. He was a nearby resident of Bad River, and there is a very small spot on the Bad River Road called Van Meter. My next adventure will be to go to that site and see if the old homesite is still visible.

Burial: Place: Sioux Point, Dakota Territory
Individual Note: Baptized in 1817 at Prairie Du Chien, WI.
According to a letter from Alfred Coe dated 8/5/1924, Henry and his wife Mary are both buried east of Sioux City, Iowa somewhere? Or there is some other information stating he was buried at Sargents Bluff?
Sioux Point is not a town, but is considered the location of where the Big Sioux River, and the MIssouri meet in what is now Sioux City.
The Family Picture in the scrapbook shows from L to R: Victoria, Josette, Harriet, Nicolas, and Mary.
The family shows up in the 1850 Census under the name Anger.
There is alot of confusion with this family because of the different last names: Ange, Aungie, Anger, Auger
