Individual Note:
     Little Orville was born with Multiple Scorosis and a learning disability. He passed away 6 years to the day of his mother. He was a big fan of Elvis Presley. Return to Sender was the song that was playing when Orville passed. Bev and Barbara were there to comfort him and watched as he slipped away.

A fond memory of Little Orville from Julie Vollmer was that Little Orville always had a joke for her when she came to visit him. His favorite was the ice fishing joke........ First you cut a hole in the ice, then you sprinkle peas around the hole, when the fish comes up to take a pea, you hit him in the ice hole....that is how you go ice fishing... :-) . It meant so much to Julie, he always remembered Julie and always said how "purdy" she was and he always had to tell her that joke.

- Peter spoke in a broken english accent since his first language was German.

- He was friendly by nature.
- He would always great Billy Rose by saying in broken english....."der ist da Billy Rosie" :-)

Had a daugther and two boys. Herman always went by his aka "Cud", no one ever seemed to recall calling him Herman.

Herman was the youngest boy of Peter and Catherine.

     A nurse and was married to a man with the name Jerry Simdorn and was originally from Barney. They lived on a farm in Barney ND. They now (2006) live in Morton ND. Moved there to retire. She was born around 1926 or so. Had three children.

     Never Married.

Died of Cancer of the mouth. Went qucikly (about 1-2 weeks). Thought he had tooth problems, but it was much more serious.

Lived at home his whole life with his parents and helped his father farm.

     Bev. - Harold's birth certificates, birth date is inaccurate. Harold was actually 1 yr younger, Harold was born at home and did not have a original birth cert. so when Orville had one made, he had it look like Harold was a year older so he could get a drivers license sooner. :-)

     Retired from the US Army at Fort Rucker, Al. after 23 yrs of service. In 2005 he was working for the US post office.

Individual Note:
     Was a pilot, owned and flew his own Cessna. A veteran of WWII, he was a truck driver after the war.

He loved to fly, bought the plane at age 24 and had a goal to make a living by being a pilot. His best friend was with him at the time the plane crashed and it killed him as well. His friend was from Cheynne, Wyo.

The cause of the crash was power failure, it apparently lost power during a turn and crashed.

     Jack served as a Marine in WW II and later owned a liquor store. They lived in Hankinson, ND.

He was an alcoholic and struggled with it, but everyone liked Jack He was lots of fun and a show off, he laughed big and had a good time. He loved to play golf and baseball and he liked to golf with Bev.
